“Art is supposed to be a part of a community… to decorate people’s houses, their skin, their clothes, to make them expand their minds, and it’s supposed to be right in the community, where they can have it when they want it… It’s supposed to be as essential as a grocery store… that’s the only way art can function naturally.” –Amiri Baraka printshop

The Printshop lets you easily make and sell custom t-shirts and other printed products

This product was a reaction to what we saw going on in Fields. We saw a nascent community of great, very young artists. So we decided to create revenue streams for them - the most obvious was a print interface. And it flourished. Thousands upon thousands of great designs, a very new and singular visual language on shirts. It also brought collaborations with artists and brands we’re close to, like DIS. camera Camera is an app for iOS with a portable green screen, letting you be anywhere.

In a sea of camera and image filter apps, we were missing a simple way to capture some GIFs. So we made Cam and in the process discovered that applying filters to the preview opened up a new world for play and performance in an experience some described as “acid for your phone”.

It also became a great way to use it with other GIFs so we worked with some of the most creative GIF makers around to deliver a growing collection of filters ultimately leading to a partnership with Giphy.
